retirement savings operations of the Nationwide group of
companies. The Company is a provider of long-term
savings and retirement products in the United States.
NFS develops and sells a diverse range of products,
including individual annuities, private and public
sector pension plans, life insurance and mutual funds,
as well as investment management and administrative
services. The Company sells its products through a
diverse distribution network. Unaffiliated entities that
sell NFS' products to their own customer base include
independent broker/dealers, brokerage firms, financial
institutions, pension plan administrators and life
